Looking For Umpires!

Hello to our returning umpires and new prospective umpires. We are looking forward to another exciting season and we know we can't do it without you! Early registration for umpires has begun. If you are a returning umpire or if you know someone that would be a good umpire, please have them contact Jimmy Jungerman so we can send you the registration forms. As always, any comments or questions you have about the umpiring program are welcome.

Umpire Clinic

CLL will be holding an umpire clinic in early March. This clinic is for those who will be umpiring at the AA level or above. The clinic will cover plate and the field. This clinic is designed for volunteers and paid umpires

Q & A

1. Are umpires paid? For A level and below we try to have as many volunteers work the games as possible. However, for some AA games and all games AAA though Majors, we pay umpires $25/$30 if certified, and youth umpires $15.

2. Do returning umpires have to re-apply? Yes. Umpires, just like managers & coaches need to re-apply each year.

3. How do I apply? E-mail Jimmy Jungerman or call Jimmy at 954-0991 and he will email/mail you a form to fill out.

4. How long are games? Most games are about two hours. However, a handful of games, especially during the playoffs, may go longer.

5. How many games per week can I umpire? This will depend on your availability and our number of available umpires. Please let us know how many games per week you are interested in.
